So, we all know that the high school outcasts end up being the coolest, most awesome people on earth, right?
Cool. Then you’ll like the smart new girl comedy Unintentionally Awesome.
Vivian Kerr, who made up 50% of the adorable hipster comedy We Are With the Band (nominated in 2010 as Best Web Comedy by Clicker) and also appeared in HBO’s first web series Hooking Up, is back in a new buddy comedy, Unintentionally Awesome, created by new series creator Kelley Selznick.
The quirky high school comedy follows two social outcasts, the cheery, pigtailed new student Mallory played by Kerr and the cynical, bespectacled, bullied Em, played by series creator Selznick.
High school has been cruel to Em, but she may be in for a turn when Mallory unintentionally befriends her and then unknowingly tells off the school bitch. Will that make Mallory and Em unintentionally awesome or unintentionally high school minced meat?
The ambitious young series creator Kelley Selznick is currently still a theater student, and the cast includes an ensemble of young talent from California.
