Digital Chick TV’s original series Downsized was amongst the nominees for the Writers Guild Award for Outstanding Achievement in Writing Original New Media, honoring creator Daryn Strauss (aka me).
The other nominees announced yesterday include Michael Cyril Creighton for the comedy Jack in a Box and Heath Corson and Richie Keen for the Cambio-distributed Aim High.
Eligible work must be a stand-alone new media program or episode written for a new media series first exhibited between December 1, 2010 and November 30, 2011. Eligible work must be written and produced under a WGA contract.
The 2012 Writers Guild Awards will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012, simultaneously at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles and at B.B. King Blues Club in New York City.
The previous winners were Susan Miller and Tina Cesa Ward for Anyone But Me.
