Wilson Cleveland’s producorial efforts have brought webland The Temp Life, The Webventures of Justin and Alden, Bestsellers, Suite 7 and now Leap Year, all of which are branded series that don’t feel “branded”. There is an art to creating shows where brands are involved, particularly in this new area of web television, and Wilson and team have a very specific way of pulling it off, which includes incorporating brand agenda into good storytelling and effective characters.

The immensely popular Leap Year, created for Hiscox Small Business Insurance, focuses on start-ups and the issues small entrepreneurs face. Five unemployed friends and former co-workers (3 men, 2 women) decide to test their luck by becoming first-time entrepreneurs but must compete against one another for half a million dollars from a mystery investor.
