Alloy Entertainment, the publishing and media company that brought us Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars, previously ventured into web series with Private, Hollywood Is Like High School With Money, and First Day. Their latest venture, Wendy, is part of an initiative to reinvent classics (in this case, Peter Pan.) In the web series, teenaged Wendy is haunted by dreams of a hottie named Peter Pan and sets out to find him. (Hopefully not by clubbing and shopping?)
The series is partnered with Macy’s, and as usual with Alloy, is part of a multi-platform enterprise. Typically, Alloy web series are released after the book or TV/film vehicle, so this marks a rare time where the web series will come first.
Intriguing…
