Digital Chick extraordinaire Taryn Southern makes a return to mega-popular YouTube horror anthology series BlackBoxTV in their latest episode Trust Me. I am wondering exactly why I don’t hate her– she’s beautiful, smart, funny, and a wonderful actress with no qualms about “going there,” whether “there” is a sexually controversial issue or a raw performance. As usual, she delivers a heartfelt, natural performance in one of BlackBoxTV’s longer episodes co-written by Tony E. Valenzuela, Bernie Su and Taryn herself, and quite frankly it makes me just want to hang with her and have her do my makeup… or fix my webcam. BlackBoxTV is a superb example of how to use the unique world of web television, combining great drama with great production value AND interactivity. The show also finds a nice balance between using the great YouTuber talents with Blippie talent… Hence its almost 300,000 subscribers.
