It doesn’t get more chicktastic than this. Fumbling Thru the Pieces, which incidentally I feel like I’m doing every day, is a comedy about adjusting to the curves that life throws at you and the women in your life that help you through them. Co-written by Julie A. Smith and Donna Hurst and starring one of the most beloved and most incredible soap actresses ever, Hillary B. Smith (One Life to Live’s Nora), the show follows small-town Jesse (Kelsey Robinson) as she decides to bolt from her marriage and hole up with her eccentric sister, Ellie (Smith) and her mechanic husband in Burbank. But adjustments aint easy…
Fumbling Thru The Pieces was created by a chick (Julie A. Smith), written by chicks (Julie A. Smith and Donna Hurst), produced (mostly) by chicks, even shot by a chick, with a theme song also by a chick! We likey. DCTV has said for a long time that online series were the future of “daytime,” and with ABC controversially (and idiotically) opting out of OLTL after next January, it’s our job as digital chicks to keep the community alive! After all, online TV is the future and soaps have always been ahead of the times, if you catch my drift.
