Web Creators Create High-Quality Pilots in 7 Days for Celebrate the Web

The challenge — conceive, produce, and complete a pilot in 7 days! Celebrate the Web, a fantastic project created by Jenni Powell and Kim Evey to advocate for the new media community, commissioned websters to flex their creative muscles and prove their moxie for a chance at prizes, and as usual, these creative websters have pulled it out. All teams produced pilots for CTW’s fourth new media event that look finished, polished and intriguing. The vote for the Best CTW Pilot is now open to the public, so check them out and support your faves!

Here’s our quickie rundown on the 13 pilots. Then head over to Celebrate the Web to watch and vote!

DRAMA:
- Gone: The Series (crime against the ordinary man)
- Godot (a who-the-hell-are-you-and-why-are-you-trying-to-kill-me thriller)
- Push (Think Flash Forward.)
- Happy Hunting (scifi mindbender)
- Follow (survive the game)
- 42 Days (fantasy/gaming with cool accents)
- Target Kill (action with a supernatural element)
- Chohoba (fountain of youth drama)

COMEDY:
- It’s a Cardboard Life (quirky unemployment comedy)
- Group: The Web Series (absurdist satire of gritty drama and the manic pixie dream girl)
- Life’s Little Ultimatum (digital Ally McBeal)
- The Silver Lake Badminton and Adventures Club (crime show parody)
- Relapse (Californication meets Dirt)

Which pilot do you want to see turned into a series? There are a lot of good ones for many different tastes, but if we have to pick, DCTV’s fave is LIFE’S LITTLE ULTIMATUM, which puts a fun spin on the biological clock, but don’t let us sway you!
