Bestsellers is the latest creation of WGA Award winning writer/producer Susan Miller (Anyone But Me, Suite 7) with Anyone But Me’s award winning Tina Cesa Ward directing and editing, which tackles the struggle of the contemporary working woman. The dramedy is set around a ladies book club where five smart, driven women of different “generations” gather to discuss bestselling books but instead end up talking about men, age, marriage, sex, and career, because they’re, you know, women after all… With more and more women watching videos online, Bestsellers is exactly the type of web-exclusive content we need, and we all need to support it.
As with all of Susan Miller’s work, Bestsellers is sophisticated, socially relevant and poignant, and Tina Cesa Ward always finds the right way to capture the heart of the scene. It’s a collaboration that just works.
