We, at Digital Chick TV, have a high appreciation for shows that push the awareness of social issues, so we were honored to present a preview cut of the first episode of this quirky new dramedy at our Digital Chick TV and OMFGeek 2010 Holiday Party. The trailer landed online today.
Created by New York City actress and philanthropist Alexis Fedor and co-written and directed by Kevin T. Collins, this series follows the life of Leo, a young woman with severe OCD as she comes to terms with her condition. The show was beautifully filmed on the RED camera in New York City and features charming performances by a strong cast led by Fedor. Gray Matters was also one of many web originals that successfully raised funds through crowdsource funding, via Kickstarter– so successfully, in fact, that it exceeded its funding expectations by almost $2,000.
As Executive Director of Love + Water Designs, a site that raises awareness for charitable organizations through online T-shirt design competitions, Fedor also donated part of the proceeds to the International OCD Foundation and Bring Change 2 Mind, two organizations that focus on providing resources for those with OCD and other mental illnesses.
