English Teachers is a quirky satirical dramedy in the style of Modern Family and Community which takes place at an ESL (English as a Second Language) school in Japan (named BE YES!) as its various oddball teachers try to keep the program from getting shut down. This satirical show was shot in Japan and features a highly multicultural cast — Japanese, Americans, Australians, Brits. They also managed to snag some nice sponsors like the sandwich chain Subway. With an ensemble cast, the universal topic of job absurdity and some of the most adorable Japanese children ever, English Teachers is a fun mockumentary-style show for both men and women!
