Written and directed by Jennifer Thym, Lumina is a beautifully shot atmospheric scifi romance centered on Lumina Wong, an overworked Hong Kong executive who is haunted by a man visiting her from the Dark Realm. Despite the danger of any involvement, Lumina can’t fight her attraction to the mysterious visitor. Filmed entirely in Hong Kong on the RED ONE camera, the cinematography alone is worth watching this strange fantasy. Released in 2009, Lumina really pushed the envelope in what a web series can look like.
